Fun Facts about the 26th Batch

(+) We have 11 guys and 16 girls!

(+) With 27 people, we are one of the largest batches of VJC ODAC

(+) All 27 of us are from the Science Faculty.

(+) We climbed Kota Tinggi during OLC 2009 under heavy rain and made several precarious detours!

(+) We evacuated Pulau Ubin during OLC1 due to a heavy thunderstorm. Nightwalk was disrupted (only half of us completed it) and we thus never had Solo Night till ITC2 in January 2010.

(+) The 26th batch is composed of the following numbers from the  OLC 2009 groups:

Blizzard – 8, Cyclone – 4, Hurricane – 3, Tornado – 4 , Typhoon – 4, Whirlwind – 4

(+) Of the B2B’2009 groups;

Cheetah – 2, Lion – 6, Puma – 7, Jaguar – ?, Tiger – 6

(+) We have our own special song dedicated to our batch-mate, Sarah. (:

(+) We’re one of the very few batches that had their OT cancelled! (due to H1N1 flu virus)

(+) In fact, TWO of our OTs were cancelled. (Gunung Yong Yap and Ladakh, India) But at least we managed to go to Mount Rinjani in Indonesia. (:

(+) Actually, THREE. Our original December trip was to China but an earthquake occured so it was changed to Ladakh.

(+) We are likely the only batch to have had TWO Instructors Training Camps (ITCs) – one in June to replace OT and one in January for pre-OLC preparation

(+) We did our last formal hornet attack at Fort Canning Park during ITC2. (:

(+) Our batch seems to always enjoy and complete Sea Expeditions before the target/expected time. (:

(+) We have a hilarious OCD-about-cleanliness-and-neatness Room I/C – Nurul Khairani!

(+) We have an equally OCD, or rather, meticulous treasurer – Kheng Soon! He can be identified from his VERIFIED chop

(+) Our chairman is also known as porpor

(+) We have our own symphony of original cheers and songs! Highlights include the series of Hay-bee cheers, the neighbourhood cheer, the WHO-WHAT-HUH cheer and songs include JiaTian’s Burger-King song among many others!

(+) The current buzzword of odac26th is BITCHY! The previous craze was Annoying Orange. WASSSUP!!!

(+) We have a leap year baby IVAN in our batch (TEEHEE!)
